James Clarence Johnson

General Counsel

James Clarence Johnson serves as Loop Capital’s General Counsel. He is a licensed attorney in Illinois and California. 

Prior to joining Loop Capital in 2010, Mr. Johnson amassed more than three decades of regulatory, commercial and public company legal experience, and most recently served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel in the Commercial Airplanes group at Boeing.  He began his career as Special Counsel to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, ultimately becoming Special Counsel in the Los Angeles Regional Office. 

Mr. Johnson earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in History (cum laude with distinction) from the University of Pennsylvania.
